For a Friend...(Creative Embellishments-Great Prize!)

Hello!  I made this for a friend as her granddaughter just celebrated her First Holy Communion.  This page will be on the (click & go->) CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS blog JUNE 24 and you still have 6 more days to join the MONTHLY CHALLENGE for a chance to win $50 in their wonderful products! HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US!

MY PROJECT:

I was intrigued by the multiple sizes of the NESTED RECTANGLES and thought
they made an interesting background as well as on  the actual main picture to
highlight her granddaughter!  I smudged them with white chalk ink.

SOME CLOSE-UPS:

Family banners:  (adore) I also dabbed white chalk ink on this banner along with pearls on the bows

I just LOVE Florida plus Creative Embellishments!

Hello everyone!  My sister in law, Marion & I went to Florida to visit my mother last month for a week.  We went to a wonderful restaurant on the water called TwoGeorges.  Since the memory was fresh, I really enjoyed making this page of my sister-in-law-it was easy to bring out the feeling of Florida on this page!
If you have some time check out the monthly inspiration at  (click & go->)CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS.  You have all month to create your project for a chance to win $50 in wonderful products!

MY PROJECT

I wanted to create texture in the background to give the feel of water and movement, so I used a crackle template and texture paste along with blue inking and the CE-> FISHNET STAMP
I also used texture paste with a cloud template

HERE ARE SOME CLOSEUPS:

MONTH LONG Challenge at Creative Embellishments!

Hello and Happy JUNE!  Today I am sharing Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) I did for the challenge themed inspiration (photo below) along with the twist of "Nautical".  This challenge runs all month and you have a chance to win $50 in their wonderful products-so if you have some time, please join us with ANY PROJECT TYPE  here->  CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS.

BE INSPIRED BY: (twist: nautical)

MY ATCs:

The water looks almost real as I used sporadic GLOSSY ACCENTS.  On the bottom of the cards, I used layers of torn paper towels along with Inka Gold-Cobalt Blue.
 From CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS, I used:
Captain's Wheel: covered w/gray texture paste, then sprayed w/color shine-bronzer
Distressed Script Stamp: used across the top of each card
